# Automated instalment payout calculations

Instalment-based policies create repeated payout calculations across the policy period. Managing those calculations manually makes reconciliation harder as volumes grow.

WHAT WE ARE PLANNING

Extend payout automation to instalment-based business, with clearer visibility of the amount calculated for each instalment, what has been paid and what remains pending.

WHY IT COULD HELP

Operations and accounts teams could follow the financial position of an instalment without rebuilding the calculation in a spreadsheet. A consistent rule trail would also make exceptions easier to investigate and explain.

STATUS

Planned next. Calculation behaviour will depend on the policy schedule and the pay-in and payout rules configured by the broking firm.
