Onam, the vibrant and cherished festival of Kerala, holds a special place in the hearts of Keralites and our Sibro team is no exception. This year, we embarked on an unforgettable Onam journey on the lake resort, surrounded by the mesmerizing beauty of Olam. It was a day filled with tradition, togetherness, and endless joy, and we can’t wait to share the details of our wonderful Onam celebration held on September 7, 2024.

A Picturesque Start!
Our Onam adventure began around 11 in the morning. We started with an amazing get-together where we found time to get along with our team members all together at the loan of Olam greenery.
One of the most enchanting aspects of Onam is the creation of the Pookalam, a colorful and intricate floral carpet that adorns entrances during the festival. Our team wasted no time and got to work, crafting a stunning Pookalam that paid tribute to this age-old tradition.
The vibrant colors and intricate patterns were a testament to our dedication to preserving and celebrating Kerala’s rich culture.
Pookalam & Onam Sadya!
Onam isn’t just about flowers; it’s also about coming together for fun and games. No Onam celebration would be complete without the grand Onam Sadya, a sumptuous feast featuring a dazzling array of traditional dishes, from avial and thoran to sambar and olan, each dish a culinary masterpiece.
The highlight of the feast, however, was the delightful payasam, which perfectly captured the sweetness of the occasion.
Games, Laughter, and Fun!
After the lunch was the real fun. We moved to the games sections. We organized a range of exciting activities, including both traditional games like ‘Musical Chairs and modern team games.’ Laughter filled the air as team members of all ages enthusiastically participated, bonding and creating lasting memories.
The afternoon session was a continuation of our joyful celebrations. More games, more songs, and more camaraderie ensured that the spirit of Onam was alive and well throughout the day.
A Perfect End to the Day!
As the day ended on our unforgettable Onam celebration, we couldn’t help but reflect on the wonderful memories we had created. Onam is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of unity, tradition, and the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. We eagerly anticipate many more such celebrations with our Sibro family in the coming years, strengthening the bonds of friendship and tradition.
